Project Summary
Under the Equinox JV we supported both Joint Helicopter Command and Navy Command on the development of Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) bringing a Front Line Command (FLC) perspective into the joint environment.
Benefits to the Client

RWE seeks to transform support of Merlin, Wildcat, Apache and Chinook helicopters. This was essential to improve aircraft availability and retard cost growth forecast to make existing support unaffordable in the 10-year purview.
The Equinox team has enabled the FLCs to contribute effectively into this key collaborative programme with Industry and DE&S. FLCs are not configured to contribute to in-service support development and usually leave this task with DE&S. However, in such a critical programme, the FLC and its workforce have been fundamental to the success to date.
The RSOs (RWE Boeing and RWE Leonardo) have been appropriately supported with SME advice, project and programme management and the effective running of Programme Board structure engendering a truly collaborative approach and enabling scrutiny of progress and actions.
