CACI created several incremental improvements to the COMPASS Ships solution through a continuous improvement approach, listening to customer requirements and embedding as much change as possible with a limited budget. 

Presentation of information, for instance, in a Wiki style, combined with a powerful Enhanced Search function, helps users to identify documentation they require to perform their role and to understand their responsibilities, whilst the interactive interface helps to identify related content. Documents such as BR2017 and Work Breakdown Structures can be imported into the tool easily and can be explored in an intuitive and user-friendly manner and removes the need to wade through hundreds of pages of a manual. 

Digital capture of data directly within the tool enables greater transparency and exploitation of that data. We have digitised the capture of End of Fleet-time Support Reviews (EoFTSPRs), Engineering Change data and forms such as the BOM IN and BOM OUT. This is supported by automated workflow activities to improve efficiency via notifications and reminder emails. 

Finally, as part of the sustainment, we have kept the solution content relevant and up to date, with improvements to self-sufficiency for document uploads, and provided support to the user base.
