Prioritisation at the higher programme and portfolio level, balancing investment and disinvestment choices across a range of programmes and projects in order to optimise the value of the whole portfolio subject to a range of constraints (financial, workforce, deliverability etc).

Delivered in time to support annual planning processes such as Annual Budget Cycle, or more strategic rebalancing including Strategic Defence Reviews, Comprehensive Spending Review settlements etc.

Balance of Investment analysis and disinvestment choices across a range of potentially diverse programmes and projects.

Structured capture of investment and disinvestment choices across breadth of portfolio.

Analysis of capability impact of choices to support organisations capability management processes, linkage to Head Office processes such as Defence Contract Audit Report (DCAR) and Credit Risk Assessment Framework (CRAF).

Analysis of financial impact of choices to support financial management across multi-year budgets.

Analysis of other resource impacts such as changes to workforce demand and supply across multi-year profiles.
